## Formula and assumptions

Shaping events are distributed across available stitch positions and rows. Final count uses events × stitches changed per event. Uneven row remainders differ by at most one row; use the pattern's specified increase or decrease method at each marker.

## Worked example

Example: four one-stitch increases across 100 stitches with two protected at each edge give 104 stitches after shaping.

## Limits and rounding

Results are planning estimates from the values entered. Displayed decimals are rounded for craft use; whole materials and repeats round up where the method says so. Confirm gauge, material behavior, construction, and finished measurements before committing supplies.
