Reserve finishing and delivery time before allocating the remaining making sessions.

## Before you start

Have the complete instructions, a short list of unfamiliar actions and the materials for a trial. Separate the trial from the final project.

## How to do it

1. **Estimate making time from a timed sample** — If 50 comparable units take 20 minutes, 500 units take 200 minutes at that sampled pace. A 15% time allowance gives 230 minutes, or about 3 hours 50 minutes.
2. **Include assembly and finishing time** — Separate active making, active finishing and passive drying time. A percentage buffer cannot represent an overnight drying dependency by itself.
3. **Fit a project into making sessions** — Divide measured active work by realistic session length, then allow for setup and safe stopping points. Schedule drying or blocking as calendar time.

## Try this example

If six evenings remain, keep one for finishing and one as reserve. Time a representative sample; if the main work needs more than four evenings, reduce the project scope early.

## Check your result
