Changing fabric count scales the existing stitches physically. Resizing the chart changes stitch information and can alter small details, outlines and symbol counts.

## Before you start

Have the chart key, chart width and height, fabric thread count and threads crossed by each stitch. Keep floss strands separate from fabric threads.

## Try this example

A 70-stitch width is 12.7 cm on 14-count fabric and about 9.88 cm on 18-count fabric, both worked over one. Enlarging the chart to 84 stitches is a separate design edit needing review.

## Check your result

- Count from two independent reference points before filling a large area. Verify the outer stitched dimensions on the actual ground; include finishing fabric separately.
- Changing fabric count changes physical size, not chart complexity. Fractional stitches, mixed scales and non-square grounds need explicit chart instructions.
